CrossFit Open 2018 Dungeon Team Challenge Throwdown.

We are excited to announce that we will be holding a Team Challenge for this year’s CrossFit Open – which will be held on Saturday mornings. #TheDungeonThrowdown will be an event that spans over the 5 weeks of #TheOpens and will be a fun, competition styled atmosphere!

There will be tons of ways to grab points, win prizes and have fun!

◉ To partake, sign your name on the front whiteboard opposite the front desk (can’t miss the fabulous “Opens” drawing).

◉ Teams of five will be drawn on February 21st 2018 (three days before 18.1). These teams will be drawn at random and will include equal males and females to the best of our ability.

◉ Once teams are drawn, captains will be nominated within their team, team colors will be chosen and team names will be decided.

◉ All Open rules apply. Standards. Judged. Score Cards (regardless if registered for Open or not – you don’t have to register for the opens to partake in the competition). Repeats (makes sure all cards handed in so judges get credit).

There will be tons of ways to get points, these include but are not limited to:

◉ Teams are given 2 points (1 point only if not registered for Open) for every athlete who completes a given Open workout.

◉ Teams are given up to 5 points for athletes who judge other athletes (name on scorecard, 1 point per athlete judged)

◉ Teams are given points based off how they (as a group) are ranked for each workout.

Ie. If 40 people perform a workout, then they will be all ranked on their score (1st to 40th). The team’s “Placing” score will the accumulation of points from each team members overall placing.

◉ Teams are given 5 points if they win the “Spirit of the Open” award on any given week determined by Dungeon Staff (based on attendance – either workout or support, wearing team shirt, active spectating, fist bumps, etc).

◉ Check in on social media with #TheDungeonThrowdown (tag CFD, coaches, teammates, etc.) when you are at the box on Saturday to earns your team one point per week.

◉ Wearing your team colours during the workout.
