A form of functional fitness, yoga moves your body in the ways it was designed to move to help ensure that it keeps functioning properly. A regular yoga practice can reduce your risk of injury and condition your body to perform better at things you have to do every day: walk, sit, twist, bend, and lift groceries.
What to Expect?
In this 60 minute class, postures are practiced to align, strengthen and promote flexibility in the body. You can expect an emphasis on simplicity, repetition, and ease of movement. Full-body relaxation and balance are the goals, as we make a full circuit of the body’s range of motion with standing postures, twists, backbends, forward folds, and hip openers.
